The Fog burners

The Fog Burners are a Marin County based string band who have played together since 2016. From the foggy valleys of the Mt. Tamalpais watershed, they strum to blow away the fog and bring out the sunshine.  They love playing family-friendly shows at outdoor patios and picnics. 

Fog Burner members share a history of playing and singing bluegrass, country, folk and Americana songs as an avocation since childhood.  Now retired, or nearly so, they are ecstatic to find more time to practice and play together.  The Fog Burners play primarily upbeat bluegrass tunes.  They also play bluegrass-style Grateful Dead tunes, songs from Old & In the Way, Seldom Scene, John Prine, Nanci Griffin, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell,The Dirt Band,  and Bob Dylan, as well as originals.
